Survivor pools are the new fantasy football, and as this anonymous writer shows, they may be even more addictive. Where fantasy football seasons are won and lost in the last few weeks, survivor pools, in which entrants pick a different team to win each week, require week-to-week concentration. Of course, they're also illegal -- a fact the writer is perfectly aware of as he describes his attempt to win $160,000. He comes up short, but as the suspenseful accounts in this piece show, survivor pools are not only about winning and losing. Just don't tell Mr. Writer Guy that.
